A list of authors to match against. Authors are seperated by semi-colons (;) and surnames from forenames by commas (,). If no comma is provided the last "word" in the author's name will be assumed to be their surname. Forenames do not need to be provided.
The way authors may be specified has been designed to be unambiguous:

A boolean free-text match for either the title or the abstract. To restrict terms to only the title use the title: prefix.
All terms are stemmed according to an english-language stemmer, e.g.

A period to match the creation date of the record against. Granularity is one year. To match an individual year type it into both fields (from is from the 1st january, until is until the 31st of december).
Citebase converts all input into english alphabet equivalents, e.g. é is converted to e. The situation where this fails is where there are phonetic translations of names, where a single non-english character may be represented by 2 or more english characters.
